A message from Bristol SU Lettings
Over recent months we have made some changes to the way in which we deliver our services due to the Covid 19 Pandemic. Our office on Campus is now taking steps to reopen to the public, we're not open for drop ins at present however you can make an appointment to pop in by emailing the office, we do ask that you wear a facemask when visiting the office. Due to social distancing guidelines some of our team are working remotely and have been working hard to respond to email and telephone enquiries. Due to the limited numbers of staff that are able to be in the office our inbound phone lines can become busy, If you have contacted us and are yet to receive a response, please do bear with us as we will be in touch as soon as we can. We’ve complied some information below we hope will answer some of the more frequently asked questions;
Viewings – Under current guidelines we are offering virtual viewings via our youtube channel in the first instance, if after the virtual viewing there is serious intent to reserve the property we will do our best to accommodate an in person viewing, viewings will be limited to a maximum of 2 people and facemasks must be worn. Our team will be taking additional safety measures at viewings in line with safer working practices that have been introduced during the Pandemic.
Property maintenance & Routine Safety Testing
Landlords repair responsibilities have not changed, however access to a property is only recommended for serious and urgent issues, we therefore will not be arranging any non-essential repairs or cosmetic works to properties until further notice. If you live in one of our managed properties and wish to report a maintenance issue, please report this by using the Request Maintenance tab on the website as usual. Where reasonable and safe, and in line with Government guidance, we will make every effort to review and address maintenance issues brought to our attention by tenants. We will also make every effort to comply with current gas safety and electrical requirements.

Essential property visits – Staff and client safety is paramount to us, Should a contractor or member of staff need to make an essential visit to a property extra safety measures will be observed, contractors will be asked to wear a facemask, sanitise hands frequently and maintain social distancing.
Moving house with us, new tenancies and renewals - If you have arranged a tenancy for the upcoming months or next academic year with us it is very much our intention to facilitate this where possible. All parties must follow advice on maintaining social distancing to minimise the spread of Coronavirus. We will of course do our best to advise and aid in such situations, if you are due to start a tenancy with us we will be in contact with you to discuss options, each tenancy will be dealt with on a case by case basis and we will of course do our best to negotiate the best possible outcome for both parties.

Financial concerns and rent holidays – We understand that the current crisis has caused financial hardship for many, we are currently liaising with landlords and students who are struggling with rent issues to see if any support can be given and will deal with any requests for rent reductions on a case by case basis with all parties involved. If you live in one of our properties and are struggling financially please get in touch.
